About Us
Matthew and James met in 1995 working at Cookes Furniture in Christchurch, as warehouse and customer service managers and gained valuable knowledge and experience in the furniture industry. Matt went on to learn upholstery as a trade with Lunnons Upholstery in New Milton carrying out repairs in customers homes whilst James left and became a contracts manager for specialist furniture delivery company and gained more experience in the retail sector delivering and assembling high end furniture.
Matthew and Kathryn acquired Leather Medic Ltd in 2004 carrying out service requests and repairs for national and local retailers including G-Plan Upholstery, Land of Leather, SCS , Furniture Village, Klaussner, Cookes Furniture, Peter Green, Bradbeers, David Phipps, Sturtons and Tappers as well as valued private customers, specialising in leather furniture repair, celebrating 20 years this year ! James has also been a field service manager for a National company during this period looking after a team of 30 service technicians working for DFS, Sofology, Harveys, Oak Furnitureland and HSL among others. During this time James and Matthew have worked together on other furniture renovation projects as well as furniture maintenance on cruise ships for over 10 years.

Replacement seat foams
The most common complaint we have dealt with over the last 20 years is sinking of softening seat foams, customers looking to renovate their sofa as a cheaper option than replacing it. we replace seat foams or “interiors” with top grade foam at a fraction of the cost of a new sofa even on reclining sofas with fixed seats.
Spring and Webbing
Sometimes it isn’t just the foams failing but the springs or elasticated webbing underneath contributing to the issue. We can obtain replacement springs and even traditional coil spring units as well as re webbing elasticated webbed sofas, we don’t fit new foams without checking and correcting this if needed.
Recliners
Whether you have manual or electric recliner chairs or sofas we can supply and fit replacement manual and electric recliner parts or if parts aren’t available we can usually diagnose and repair your existing parts.

We also assemble flat pack furniture and have experience with IKEA Pax wardrobes as well as Rauch and Nolte among others.
